The Ultimate Guide to Face Cleansing
A simple, effective face-cleansing routine from CHROTIS for healthy, glowing skin.

Cleansing your face properly helps remove oil, dirt, sweat, sunscreen, and makeup while keeping your skin healthy. Here’s a complete but simple routine you can follow.

1. Wash Your Hands First

Always start with clean hands so you don’t transfer bacteria to your face.

2. Remove Makeup or Sunscreen

If you wear makeup or heavy sunscreen, remove it first with: (use one of the following depending on the situation)

  • micellar water - Good for removing makeup or refreshing the skin.

  • cleansing oil - Dissolves makeup, sunscreen, and excess oil very well.

  • cleansing balm - Similar to cleansing oil but thicker; melts into oil when rubbed on the skin.

NOTE - Choose one cleanser per routine don’t mix

3. Use a Gentle Facial Cleanser

Choose a cleanser suited to your skin type:

  • Oily skin: gel or foaming cleanser

  • Dry skin: cream or hydrating cleanser

  • Sensitive skin: fragrance-free gentle cleanser

  • Combination skin: balanced or mild gel cleanser

Use lukewarm water, not hot.

4. Massage the Cleanser Properly

Apply a small amount and massage your face gently for 30–60 seconds.

Focus on areas where oil builds up:

  • nose

  • forehead

  • chin (T-zone)

Avoid scrubbing too hard.

5. Rinse Thoroughly

Use lukewarm water to rinse off all cleanser.

Leftover cleanser can clog pores.

6. Pat Dry (Don’t Rub)

Use a clean towel and gently pat your face dry.
Rubbing can irritate your skin.

7. Apply Skincare Immediately

After cleansing, apply:

  1. Toner (optional)

  2. Serum

  3. Moisturizer

In the morning, always finish with sunscreen.

How Often to Cleanse

  • Morning: remove oil and sweat from sleep

  • Night: remove dirt, pollution, and sunscreen

Best twice a day.
